Cindy Guidry joined Writopia L.A. the spring of 2010. She is the author of The Last Single Woman in America (Dutton, 2008), a collection of personal essays, and has also written for television. Cindy began working with kids as a volunteer at 826 LA. She has participated in numerous in-school and out-of-school creative writing projects throughout Los Angeles, including a workshop that resulted in a time-travel prison movie about a man whose deadly peanut allergy landed him in the slammer. A former film executive, Cindy has also worked extensively with "grown-up" screenwriters. She is now working on various writing projects of her own. Her BFF is a 100 yr. old cat. Eloise is her role model.
