Lou Perez joined the Writopia NYC community in the spring of 2010. He is a fiction writer, screenwriter, and comedian whose written work has appeared in Fiction; Born in the 1980s (Route Magazine, 2008); Rejected: Tales of the Failed, Dumped, and Canceled (Villard, 2009), and Beyond Race Magazine. He also produces content for stage, film, television, and the internet with Uh-Thank You Productions. Uh-Thank You’s sitcom “Blog of a Pool Boy” won the 2009 New York Television Festival award for Best Comedy. Lou performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre with his group, Greg and Lou. He is a former member of Hammerkatz, 2005 ECNY Winners for Best Sketch Group. He earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from The City College of New York, where he taught undergraduate classes in Literature, Composition, and Creative Writing.
