September 11th, 2010 Family Memoir Workshop

At the family memoir workshop, kids and teens and their parents, aunts, and uncles discussed shared experiences that had significance to all of them. Each family member then wrote about the same event from his or her point of view. At the end, as each participant read his or her memoir aloud, the group was brought to laughter over and over again, and sometimes to tears.
