During the summer, musical theater workshops meet daily, and during the school year they meet weekly. Over the course of this workshop, Dan Kitrosser and other musical theatre professionals lead six participants, through a musical and lyrical journey from brainstorming, to writing, to sometimes performing on stage. Together, the group writes one show. One special workshop that runs from July 25th-July 29th will culminate in a show performed by the kids themselves at the JuniorGenius Festival on July 29th and July 30th. Also, once a year, Writopia produces a Best Playwrights' Festival at which original Writopia plays and musical theater pieces are rehearsed and performed by professional actors.

This summer, we are running one several musical theatre workshops. See the summer schedule here.
