Turn Your Story into a Book! Wishing that your workshop hadn't ended so quickly? Come to the Lab to turn your story into a book! Illustrate, print, and bind your Writopia story with the help of an artist and book binder from 10am-noon. All ages. (These workshops are only open to Writopia writers.)

Beth Breier (NYC) is excited to be teaching the summer book-making workshops at Writopia Lab. She is a NYS licensed visual arts teacher and has taught art to childen at different schools in Queens. She also gives private art lessons. Beth holds a BA in studio art and an MS in art education from CUNY Queens College. She studied drawing and painting at the Art Institute of Florence. When she is not teaching art, she creates small sculptures with found objects.
Heidi Bishop (Washington DC) is an artist specializing in printmaking and children’s book arts. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Art with a concentration in Art History and a Masters in Business Administration. She has experience working with arts organizations such as the Cavallaro Cleary Visual Arts Foundation, The Art Institute and Gallery, and Maryland Summer Center for the Arts and is dedicated to making art accessible and relevant to children. She has taught children’s art classes and activities for the Horizon’s Program, Camp Odyssey, and the Gaithersburg Book Festival. Heidi currently serves on the Gaithersburg Cultural Arts Advisory Committee and Gaithersburg Book Festival Planning Committee.
