W2R Mentor
Aimee Heath

Aimée is very excited to join the Writopia team this fall! A proud Houston native, Aimée first came to New York City to pursue a degree in English at St. John’s University. Now, she’s pursuing two degrees: both a BA and an MA in English from St. John’s. Though she spends most of her time analyzing literature, her true love lies in Creative Writing (which just so happens to be her minor). She writes both poetry and fiction, and her work has been featured in Sequoya, her university’s literary arts magazine. Additionally, Aimée runs a blog: The Unauthorized Review of New York Theater and Dining. If it hadn’t been for her many great teachers and mentors encouraging her in her writing along the way, Aimée would certainly not be the writer she is today. Therefore, she wants to pay that kindness forward as a Write to Recognition mentor. Aimée loves to travel, support her Houston sports teams and the St. John’s Red Storm, and play the piano.
