The Community

Writopia is a NYC-based writing community that is rapidly spreading across the country! If you would like Writopia to come to your city or town,  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or call us at (212) 222-4088.

The Resources

We provide laptops for all of our participants at our labs. Pens and pads are also provided for those who prefer writing by hand.

Our Neighbors

Pizzaria Uno (Uno Chicago Grill) on West 81st Street in New York was the first business to offer to display our students' writing on their walls! Many others have quickly followed suit. See the full lineup of businesses that partner with us in our Radiant Windows project. We also regularly run free events at the St Agnes Branch of the New York Public Library and at Bryant Park!

Our Writers

Kids and teens come from public and private schools and organizations across the city, country, and from abroad. In 2008 and 2009, our students garnered more national awards from the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards than did any other group of students in the entire country!
