Locations

Writopia Lab currently runs workshops at five sites in New York City’s northern suburbs.

 

Semester-Long WorkshopsWhySoSerious

After-school and weekend writing workshops meet once per week for 90-minute sessions during fall, winter, and spring semesters.

Enrollment is ongoing throughout the semseter. We prorate sessions for those who sign up late.

Writopia Lab offers workshops throughout the school-year.

 

Vacation Programs

Writopia Lab offers two vacation programs:
  • Week-long half-day writing camps (morning, afternoon, or evening) during school breaks.
  • Week-long full-day writing camps during school breaks.

 

Summer Programs

During the summer we offer two programs:
  • Week-long half-day writing workshops (morning, afternoon, or evening) during summer.
  • Week-long full-day writing camps during summer.

Private sessions for academic and creative writing. Available in-home, via Skype, or at Hartsdale, Katonah, or Westport labs.

 

College Essays

For college essays, Writopia Lab offers focused workshops during the late summer and throughout the fall. Private sessions are available for further individual attention.

Writopia Lab holds public readings throughout the year at local bookstores and libraries. Young writers are encouraged to share their completed original works.

 

Online Literary Magazine

Writopia Lab publishes The (Parenthetical), highlighting completed, polished works by Writopia Lab kids and teens, as well as Scholastic Writing Award-winning works from the New York City and Washington DC metropolitan regions.
