Hannah started at Writopia Lab as an intern in 2015 and became a full time administrator and instructor after graduating from Barnard College in 2016 with a degree in History and Education. She writes poetry, essays, short fiction, and pieces for performance. At Writopia, Hannah organizes private sessions, develops curriculum, supports the management of the Brooklyn Lab, and teaches Creative and Essay Writing workshops at our labs and off site. She has created and collaborated on numerous zines and developed Writopia’s Zine-making Curriculum. In Spring 2017, her poetry was published in the docu-zine Femme Mâché, and her short play Leveling Up was read at TheaterLab. Hannah is currently working on her upcoming chapbook, Mostly Water, and writes music and bikes around Brooklyn in her free time. Hannah is over the moon to be part of Writopia’s New York City community and help young writers build empathy, find their voices, tell their stories, and quest for truth.
