Ani Katz was born and raised on the south shore of Long Island. She received her BA in Art from Yale University and her MFA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago. Her artist books and photographs have been exhibited at Project Basho, the Islip Art Museum, and the Chicago Center for Book and Paper Arts, and her short stories have been published in Narrative Magazine, Heavy Feather Review, and Hair Trigger. She has worked as an elementary school teacher and museum educator, and she currently tutors middle and high school students in test preparation and academic writing. Ani lives in Brooklyn and is currently revising the thirteenth draft of her first novel. She is thrilled to join the Writopia community.
