John Manuel Arias is excited to join the registration team and teach workshops at Writopia Lab on the Upper West Side and in Park Slope! An alumnus of the Tin House Writer’s Workshop and a Canto Mundo fellow, his poetry and prose has appeared in The Kenyon Review, PANK, F(r)iction, The Rumpus, and Tor.com. His debut novel, Where There Was Fire, will be published by Flatiron Books in February 2023.
John Manuel is a queer, Costa Rican-American writer with a deep passion for literature, who hopes to guide Writopia’s writers in workshop and nurture their creativity. You can find him at our UWS lab, helping writers with registration and talking about all things magical.
