Lyndsay joined the Writopia team in fall 2014, and she values nothing more than helping young thinkers and writers build confidence in their voice and develop their skill set. Lyndsay earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, where she served as the managing editor of the program's literary journal and began work on a novel set her home city of Miami. Her narrative essays have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and, along with her poetry, published in the online and print journals Little Fiction | Big Truths, juked, Lunch Ticket, and xoJane, among others. In addition to her master's degree, Lyndsay has attended Bread Loaf in Sicily, the Sackett Street Writers' Workshop, and New York University's Writers in New York program, and worked as the first reader of manuscript submissions at a New York literary agency. As Writopia Los Angeles's head instructor, she arms instructors with strategies to serve all our writers, and as program manager, she fosters community by coordinating events throughout LA. Her Writopia students have received Scholastic recognition on regional and national levels.
