Devan Manning

Instructor

Devan is ecstatic to join Writopia Lab as an instructor in the San Francisco Bay Area! Devan graduated with honors from Arizona State University while obtaining her B.A. in English Literature, and later received her M.Ed in Secondary Education. Devan has been writing fantasy, science-fiction, and realistic fiction stories since she was seven years old, and is working towards publishing her work as a novel. Devan spent the last seven years as a high school English teacher, where her love of storytelling and role-playing games led her to create a classroom tabletop game to encourage students to write collaboratively and interact playfully. When Devan isn’t working with young writers or on her own stories, you can find her playing video games or Dungeons and Dragons with her friends!
