Game Leader

Matthew Picht joined Writopia Lab in 2025 as a part-time Game Leader. He has been telling stories with tabletop games since high school, and is eager to introduce these games to a new generation of storytellers. After graduating from the University of Tulsa in 2013 with an English degree, Matt worked as a journalist for 12 years; most recently developing and hosting the video game journalism series "Next Level" for Scripps News. As a game leader, Matt has run a variety of different systems over the years for players of all ages and experiences. He loves introducing role-playing games to new players and watching their imagination blossom at the table. Matt is a fervent believer in the power of reading and writing, and he's excited to help spark creativity and encourage collaboration in Writopia Lab's young writers!
