Madeline Arcaro
Administrative Associate and Assistant Instructor

Madeline Arcaro joined Writopia Lab as an intern in Summer 2025, and has since been working as an assistant instructor and administrative associate. She is a senior at the University of Maryland studying English Language and Literature with a concentration in Literary and Cultural Studies, and is finishing two minors in Creative Writing and Professional Writing. In September 2025, she was Highly Commended for her short story, Salt In Her Lungs, in the Author of Tomorrow award from the Wilbur and Niso Smith Foundation. Her poetry and fiction have appeared in multiple anthologies; most recently, she was featured in Myths, Mysteries, and Mavericks. Outside of writing, Madeline enjoys reading (all genres), listening to podcasts and music, exploring new bookstores, and volunteering with CASA.
