Gauri Awasthi

Gauri is thrilled to be joining Writopia Lab! Born and raised in India, she received her MFA in Creative writing in 2021. She has won fellowships from Yaddo, Hambidge Center, Hedgebrook, Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Djerassi Artist Residency, and Sundress Academy for The Arts. Her writing has been published in Best New Poets 2023, Provincetown Arts Magazine, Quarterly West, Notre Dame Review, The Rumpus, Buzzfeed, and others. She is an editor at The Offing and constantly considers ways to incorporate play into her pedagogy.
