Abby White is thrilled to work with young writers through Writopia Lab in Washington, DC. Her debut novel, D.J. Rosenblum Becomes the G.O.A.T., earned the 2026 Sydney Taylor Book Award for young adult literature, plus praise from the Rick Riordan. (She hopes Annabeth, one of her heroes, would be proud.) 

She is currently and proudly drafting her sophomore novel. Abby holds a bachelor's degree from Columbia University and an MFA from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she will join the faculty in fall 2026. 

The speeches, op-eds, essays, and memoir she has written have been featured in tier one publications and broadcast to audiences of millions.  In her spare time, she's probably reading, singing, baking, cooking, or thinking about elephants. Abby roots for Cleveland sports teams but lives in Washington, DC, with an extraordinary community of friends.
