Sarah Brokamp

Instructor

Sarah Brokamp is beyond excited to join the Writopia Lab team as a creative writing instructor. She has been writing and working with children for several years. She completed her MFA at the City College of New York in 2021. She won the Jerome Lowell DeJur Prize for Fiction in 2020 for the draft of her short story collection, The Brighter Ones Are Deadly. Her work has appeared and is forthcoming in Pigeon Pages, The Hunger, The Los Angeles Review, and Lammergeier Magazine. She works as a bookseller at Three Lives and Company in Manhattan. She would love for you to come visit her and buy some books! When she isn’t writing, teaching, or selling books, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and camping upstate.
