Viola Hsia

Assistant Instructor

Viola Hsia is a part-time assistant writing instructor at Writopia Lab. Prior to this, she was an intern in the summer of 2022, and before that, she was just another writing student, having attended Writopia's summer program from ages 11-17. While she has written many things at Writopia, her favorites are the play scripts she's developed, most notably the plays she wrote for the Worldwide Plays Festival from years 2017-2021. Outside of Writopia, Viola is a SAG-AFTRA actress having appeared most recently in Amazon Prime's Fallout and second season of Modern Love. She also writes screenplays and novels. She has a BA from Rice University, having double majored in Creative Writing and Theatre.
